Below is a copy of my experience timeline which outlines the activities, experiences, and opportunities that I plan on undertaking during my course. These experiences would help me develop my technical as well as soft skills and prepare me for working in the IT Industry.
My selected experiences are :
- Part – time work
Working part time in my first year in Australia would help me get familiarised with the Australian work environment and culture and employer expectations and formulate skills like communication, adaptability and agility and prepare me for technical jobs.
2. Deakin Abroad faculty-led study program
Such a program would offer me the opportunity of combining study and cultural exposure while gaining credit towards my degree. It is a great way of collecting international experience.
3. IT Internship
Doing an IT internship in my final year would help me adapt to the actual working industry environment in the IT sector and polish my technical skills. It would be the final preparation step prior to graduation.
